St. Albert the Great Priory is the house of studies for the Western Dominican Province located on 3.5 acres in north Oakland, California.  Young men from around the United States and Canada live here and are being formed through philosophical and theological studies, prayer, a common life and ministerial training so that, like St. Dominic, our founder, they may give themselves "to the proclamation of the Word of God, preaching the name of our Lord Jesus Christ throughout the world." (Letter of Pope Honorius III to St. Dominic and his companions, January 18, 1221)

On this website you'll find a short history of the Priory and our Province, news of recent and upcoming events, a photo tour, a blog, schedule of liturgies you are welcome to join, links to websites of interest, and a means of contacting our guestmaster if you'd like to arrange a retreat with us.
